Who can apply as an NRI candidate?
Generally, Indian citizens living abroad (NRIs), and in many cases their children or wards sponsored by an NRI relative. Definitions and sponsorship rules differ between states, universities and courses, so we confirm eligibility for your specific case before you apply.
Can OCI and PIO card holders get admission in India?
Yes. OCI and PIO card holders can apply to many Indian institutions, through NRI or foreign national categories, the DASA scheme, or direct admission. Which category applies depends on the institution and the state, and we help you choose the right one.
Is NEET required for MBBS or BDS through NRI quota?
Yes. Candidates applying for MBBS and BDS seats in India, including NRI quota seats, need to qualify NEET. We help you plan around the exam and the counselling that follows.
What is DASA?
Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) is a Government of India scheme that reserves seats at NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded institutions for NRI, OCI, PIO and foreign national candidates, including children of Indian workers in the Gulf. We guide you through eligibility, the application and seat allotment.
We studied under a foreign board. Is that accepted?
Most Indian institutions accept foreign qualifications, but some require an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). We tell you what your target institutions need and help you arrange it early.
Can the whole process be handled from abroad?
Most of it. Consultations, applications and document checks happen over WhatsApp, email and video. Some counselling processes and institutions require in-person reporting, and we tell you well in advance when a visit to India is needed.
